This £10 million project will be situated on Endeavour Wharf, a site of maritime activity since the 1800s, from fishing to boat building and today remains an operational wharf as well as providing car parking facilities.

This project addresses a need to develop a better supply of technical abilities to meet the demand in both developing new skills and recertification.  Additionally, the Hub will also provide accommodation for maritime businesses and service providers to support economy growth and resilience within the local community.

The project gained planning approval in August 2024 and aims to start on site in 2025.

Please note that the car park will be closed during the construction period for safety reasons. However, operational harbour access will be maintained throughout this time.

Endeavour Wharf is classified as a 3B flood plain. The building has been designed to be flood resilient, and the Environment Agency has approved this design with the condition that the hub is used only for water-compatible purposes as defined by the national planning policy framework.
