Increasing the levels of adult numeracy across North Yorkshire and the UK.

Through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, North Yorkshire received an additional £2.6million up to March 2025 for Multiply. The overall objective of the Multiply programme is to increase the levels of functional numeracy in the adult population across the country.

At a national level, the programme aims to increase adult participation in numeracy courses, increase the number of adults achieving maths qualifications (up to, and including, Level 2) and improve labour market outcomes.
