Lower Harbour
Tate Hill
- chain moorings
- these moorings dry out so vessels must be capable of safely taking the ground in an upright position
- dinghy access will be required while vessel are afloat

St Annes
- chain moorings located on the west side of the harbour below the swing bridge
- these moorings dry out so vessels must be capable of safety taking the ground in an upright position
- dinghy access will be required while vessels are afloat

Upper harbour
West side single berths
- water and electricity are available
- these moorings are dredged to a depth of 1.5m below C.D
- vessels must be capable of taking the ground in a soft river bottom as there is occasional rapid siltation following strong river flows
- one car parking permit per vessel can be purchased
- the pontoon has a security gate and each vessel is permitted a maximum of 2 keys
- these berths are available from 1 April to 31 October
- the winter period of 1 November to 31 March is optional
West side/main pontoon
- moorings are double berthed
- water and electricity are available
- these moorings are dredged to a depth of 1.5m below C.D
- vessels must be capable of taking the ground in a soft river bottom as there is occasional rapid siltation following strong river flows
- one car parking permit per vessel can be purchased
- the pontoon has a security gate and each vessel is permitted a maximum of 2 keys
- these berths are available from 1 April to 31 October
- the winter period of 1 November to 31 March is optional
East side/Church Street pontoon
- moorings are double berthed
- water and electricity are available
- these moorings are dredged to a depth of 1.5m below C.D
- vessels must be capable of taking the ground in a soft river bottom as there is occasional rapid siltation following strong river flows
- one car parking permit per vessel can be purchased
- the pontoon has a security gate and each vessel is permitted a maximum of 2 keys
- these berths are available from 1 April to 31 October
- the winter period of 1 November to 31 March is optional
East side/party pontoon
- available from 1 April to 31 October
- the winter period, 1 November to 31 March, is optional
- on the east side of the upper harbour between the bridge and the Church Street Jetty
- passenger-taking craft are given priority over available berths on this pontoon
- water is available free of charge
- these moorings are dredged to a depth of 1.5m below C.D
- vessels must be capable of taking the ground in a soft river bottom as there is occasional rapid siltation following strong river flows
- the pontoon has a security gate and each vessel is permitted a maximum of one key
Drying pontoon
- the most southerly mooring
- moorings are double berthed
- these moorings dry out so vessels must be capable of safely taking the ground in an upright position
- water is available
- one car parking permit per vessel is available for purchase
- these berths are available from 1 April to 31 October
- the winter period of 1 November to 31 March is optional
St Mikes
- chain moorings
- these moorings dry out so vessels must be capable of safely taking the ground in an upright position
- dinghy access will be required while vessels are afloat
- these moorings can be occupied for the full year

Prices
Mooring
Complete the waiting list application form (pdf / 348 KB) and return it to us. Contact us for our details.
Facilities
- laundry: coin operated washer and dryer.
- toilets and showers: you'll need a key fob (available from the marina office, the harbour office or the bridge operative). Chemical toilet disposal is available (please do not use the ships head whilst in port)
- pump out: on the trident pontoon (tokens are available from the marina office)
- water: available free of charge on the pontoons and various locations around the harbour.
- electricity: the electricity supply is 240V (tokens are available from the marina office or the harbour office)
- car parking
- fuel: marine diesel is available from the fuel pump next to the marina office (you will require suitable containers)
- safety equipment is provided
- refuse: domestic refuse can be placed in the bin next to the marina office
- trollies (two)
- waste oil: please leave this in closed containers on the grid at the environmental compound next to the marina office
- security gates: fitted to the west and east side floating pontoons (keys can be obtained from the marina office)
- weather forecasts: posted on the marina noticeboard
- storage: vessel storage is permitted 1 November to 14 April (there is a daily charge) and you can contact the harbour office to discuss availability
Launching
The slipway is located at the south end of the marina car park.
It is accessible at most states of the tide with exception of low water springs when it is accessible for 4 hours either side of high water.
Insurance
All berth holders must produce a copy of their insurance with a minimum third party limit of £3,000,000.
Staying overnight
You are welcome to launch your vessel and then stay overnight. Please confirm mooring arrangements with the marina attendant.
Car parking
Car parking is available for your vehicle and trailer. Please contact the marina attendant to purchase a permit.
Safety
We have no legislative powers to insist on the equipment you take with you. We strongly recommend:
- lifejackets are available for all crew
- flares on board
- all children wear lifejackets while near the water
- VHF
- compass
- anchor and line
- fire extinguishers
- audible warning
- torch
Free safety checks are available locally from the RNLI.
Loading crew
Diving boats and day launch boats are prohibited from using the marina pontoons for loading and unloading. There is a pontoon located in the dock end basin. Please use it.
What to do if the marina office is unmanned
Your fees can be paid at the harbour office on Endeavour wharf during normal working hours.
Or leave a note including:
- your name and address
- the name of your vessel
- the length of your vessel
- the date and time of your entry/departure
- your payment
- post your note through the letterbox at either the marina office or the harbour office
