Launch the Scarborough borough local plan policies map
Individual maps (by settlement) are available to view at the bottom of this page. Scarborough Urban Area is broken down into 10 separate areas/maps referenced "1-10" from northwest to the southeast (Overview Scarborough). Whitby is broken down into four separate areas/maps referenced "11-14" from northwest to southeast (Overview Whitby). Filey and the remaining settlements are also available, on maps referenced "15-29".
Also available to view are two maps covering Scarborough Town Centre (inset one) and Whitby Town Centre (inset two). These two maps are included to show the policies and designations in these areas at a more viewable scale.
A 'Key' is provided to be read alongside the maps.
Information on Flood Risk areas changes periodically and has therefore not been included on the Policies Map. Instead, reference should be made to the Flood Maps on the Environment Agency website.
Some maps are quite large and may take a couple of minutes to open depending on your connection.
