An exciting opportunity has arisen within Business Support, we are looking to appoint multiple Full Time fixed term (1 year) Senior Business Support Officers, to support the Housing Standards Team, which aims to improve housing standards ensuring our portfolio of council owned housing is well maintained and meets all regulatory and legislative standards. The multiple posts will be based at Harrogate Civic Centre, or Richmond Mercury House/ Gallowfields Depot House.

 

 Ideally you will have a background in Customer Services and Knowledge of housing regulations and landlord duties. The role will involve dealing with tenants on the phone, booking repair appointments, service enquires, processing purchase orders and invoices. You will be involved with the improvement team, responsible for void refurbishments and adaptations. As well as this you will be involved with the construction team, responsible for new construction and major refurbishment projects.   You will support team leaders and managers on service transition projects including quality checking and collating data.

 

 To be successful you must have good keyboard skills and experience in Word, Excel, Databases and Outlook. You must also have good literacy and numeracy skills, be able to prioritise your own workload, be conscientious, well-organised and have the ability to work independently whilst part of a small team.

 

Full training will be given to the successful applicant. During the training period you will be required to work in the specific office. Once training is complete you will be able to move to hybrid working. This can be discussed further at the interview.
