Salary: From £26,873 up to £29,269  per annum

Location: Office base at County Hall, Northallerton

Leadership Support Officers provide vital office support to the senior officers within the Council, they are situated right in the hub of local government here at North Yorkshire Council.

 

The leadership support service is the team that supports the chief executives and management board colleagues offices and as a result is very interesting and high value, high impact work.

 

This provides the opportunity to support not only the Chief Executive but other senior stakeholders such as executive members, council chair person, Management Board colleagues and very many other external executives across public and private sector partners. Within this role you will be working in the Chief Executives Office.

 

In addition to the work being interesting and fast paced, the work is important and enables senior leaders to deliver the best public services to the residents, communities and visitors in our great region of North Yorkshire.

 

Working with executive leaders whilst incredibly interesting and rewarding comes with a level of pressure that drives accuracy, tenacity and strong communication skills. Your integrity when handling confidential and highly sensitive information is resolute. You can spot an issue and use your problem solving skills to achieve resolution.

 

To be successful you will excel working under pressure and dealing with high levels of competing and conflict demands, have high levels of attention to detail and ability to link multiple sources of information, strong planning and coordination skills and above all integrity.
