We are working to help eligible residents access funding to install A-rated gas-powered central heating in their homes.
If you live in the Ryedale area and do not have any radiators in your property, you may qualify for a fully-funded central heating revamp, helping you reduce your energy bills and keep warm for less.
What the scheme covers
The North Yorkshire Warm Homes scheme covers the installation of:
- a new gas connection - if required and close to other properties on gas
- an energy efficient, mains gas condensing combustion boiler
- radiators in every living space, thermostatic controls and a wireless digital programmer
YES Energy Solutions manages this scheme on our behalf. They will check scheme eligibility and co-ordinating all the installations.
This scheme works on a first-come first-served basis and is also available in the Hambleton and Scarborough areas.

How the scheme works
The renewable heating scheme aims to install 200 renewable heating systems in areas across the county. At the heart of the system is an air source heat pump, which typically provides more than three times the heat for each unit of electricity used to power it. This heat is delivered into the home via new radiators and a hot water system.
The scheme is targeting properties that do not have an existing gas, oil or LPG central heating system and are located away from the gas network. Householder eligibility criteria will also be taken into consideration as part of the qualification process.
Air source heat pumps
You could benefit from funding for first-time central heating delivered through the installation of an air source heat pump.
If you are a homeowner or tenant who currently uses inefficient storage heaters, room heaters or solid fuel heating, you could get a new, fully funded renewable heating system installed in your home at no cost to you.
