The library is in St Michael Street, which links the main shopping street, Wheelgate, and the marketplace. It is approximately a ten-minute walk from both the bus and railway station.
There are two disabled car parking spaces at the front of the library. Free parking for up to two hours is available in the marketplace, a five-minute walk away, and long and short-stay car parks are about ten minutes' walk away. The library has automatic doors and is accessible to wheelchairs.
You can also renew items by calling the automated number 01609 532774 and entering your library card number and personal identification number.
You may also renew your books by taking the book details to your library, calling your local library or via email.
You can borrow a range of books for all ages in a variety of formats, including large print and audio. Music CDs, DVDs and foreign language titles are also available for loan, as well as micro:bits. You can request any item that is not immediately available.

A reading group meets on the first Tuesday in the month.
A drop-in storytime is held every Tuesday during term-time, at 10:30am.
The home library service operates fortnightly from the library, serving Malton and the surrounding area.
