Customer services
Our customer service centres are closed to all routine queries on Monday 27 May. They will reopen at 9am on Tuesday 28 May.
We will not be monitoring or responding to messages on social media during this time.

Library opening hours
Almost all of our libraries will be closed on Monday 27 May. You can find out more about your local library, including opening times.
Although the buildings may be closed, you can still use North Yorkshire’s free digital library. There are thousands of free eBooks and eAudio books, as well as eNewspapers, eMagazines and eComics available to borrow, and you can consult a wide range of free reference resources, day and night. You can also find all your digital resources in one place on the North Yorkshire library app, which can be downloaded to mobile devices from the App Store for iOS and Google Play for Android devices. Search for ‘North Yorkshire Libraries’.
County record office
Our record office will be closed as normal on Monday 27 May. The office will reopen at 9.30am on Tuesday 28 May.

All registration offices are closed on Monday 27 May. They will reopen on Tuesday 28 May. Please check opening times for individual offices if you are planning to visit.
You can still book an appointment to register a birth, register a death, give notice of wedding or civil partnership and buy copy certificates online while we are closed.
Household waste recycling centres
Our household waste recycling centres are open as normal on Monday 27 May, from 8.30am to 5pm.
